"AN EVENING OF MUSIC AND FILM"
TUESDAY MARCH 16, 2010
ROYAL WELSH COLLEGE OF MUSIC & DRAMA
Imagine a picture... that you can hear. A sound that you can see.
We've all seen films before. We've all heard sounds. However, to the best of our knowledge, never before has anybody thought to marry the two. We, therefore, are humbly attempting to create a new art form, existing somewhere at the periphery of vision, at the edge of sound...
This could be the start of something big.
Featuring:
New sound and image from Edward Millington
New music by Gruffydd Johnston, set to moving pictures
A selection of sonified film pieces from the casebook of Abigail Foulkes
A short presentation by Alexander Davies (1989)
Helen Bellringer's ambient-o-rama
Live performance from the world-famous Gruff Collective
A live scoring of J.S.Watson and M.Webber's 1928 silent retelling of Poe's 'The Fall of the House of Usher'
...and more! (unless there isn't any more, in which case, that's it).
Tuesday 16th March. 7.30pm. In the Geraint Evans Recital Room. Tell your friends!

By the way, according to the college listings, it'll cost £2 to get in. Personally, I'm working on the assumption that this is some kind of hilarious administrative error. I will not be enforcing this ludicrous pricing policy in any way, and as far as I'm concerned, there is an infinite guest list for this event. Hoorah for free art.
New update please.
